Chicago, I love you.

I came back from Chicago a week ago and all I can think about is how bad I want to go back.Me and my best friend Aurore decided to take a little time for ourselves and head over to Chicago. Everyone around us who went there couldn’t stop raving about it and we wanted to see for ourselves what the buzz was all about.And oh boy, was it a good discovery! As soon as we took our first stroll down Michigan avenue, I knew that I was sold. The gorgeous architecture, the clear blue water of the lake, the good food and the friendly people are what make this city so great. We stayed for fours days in the city, at the Hard Rock Hotel to be precise, before renting a car and taking the road to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. We spent a lovely three days there at Grand Geneva Resort before heading back to the city for a solid 7 days at the Waldorf Astoria. The weather we had was beyond amazing and I spent my time in denim shorts and t-shirts. The shopping was insane too – we even had to buy a third suitcase to bring back everything we got- and I might be on a shopping ban until the Holidays…Being back behind my desk in Brussels is a bit brutal. Sure I missed my family and friends and I am so happy to see them but in the same time I miss the energy of the city…Since I loved the city so much, I though it would be a great idea to share with you my favorite spots in an upcoming post, what do you think?
