Guy Laroche a/w 14

The fall/winter collection at Guy Laroche is what I would describe as new classics. The outfits that came on the runway all appeared pretty classics but if you looked a bit more, you would see that it’s not exactly classic. Whether it’s new proportions, new textures or lengths, nothing is what it seems. For instance, a classic little black dress is redesigned in a new mid calf length with a sheer embellished fabric that appears as the model is walking. Basic black tops are cut in satin and worked in unusual proportions while tiered skirts are made in leather. Long coats come over the top to finish off the silhouette and give it an urban vibe. My favorite look from the whole show? This insanely gorgeous black dress that you see on the photo above on the left!
