My day with Yogi

Hello everyone! I know that it’s been ages since I last posted on here but things have been hectic -to say the least- around here! 2018 is off to a great start and I can’t wait to see where this year takes us!

Renaud and I are currently working on a new and exciting project and while we love it, it means long days, endless meetings & stressful moments as well! But one thing has made all the difference in my routine and it keeps me thinking positive, so I wanted to share it with you!

Yogi recently reached out to me to see if I’d like to try out their new line of teas and I didn’t think twice before saying yes! I’ve been a fan of Yogi for years and I couldn’t be happier to work with a brand that shares the same ethics as me. Indeed, all Yogi teas are organic and made with the finest ingredients. They have different blends to choose from, which means that you’ll always find the right tea for you, no matter if you’re looking for something relaxing, energizing or simply delicious!

As you probably know, I love tea and I drink it all day long. So for today’s post, I decided to share with you my favorites as well as the time of the day when I drink them to get the most benefits!

Up until recently, I was addicted to my morning cup of coffee. I used to look like a zombie until I got my first sip and I would often drink 2 or 3 cups before even starting my day. But since I have so many issues with my sleep, I decided to stop drinking coffee and replace it with an energizing tea instead. So every morning, I like to brew a cup of the detox energy tea. This blend of lemongrass, dandelion & licorice is the best to start the day on the right foot while helping your body to detox as well. I like to add just a bit of honey in it to make it a bit sweeter but it’s pretty tasty on its own as well!

I am sure that I am not the only one dreading the mid-morning slump. Around 11 AM, I start to get a bit hungry but also very tired. To help prevent this, I brew a pot of green power tea and sip a few cups up until lunchtime rolls around. I love this green tea as it has matcha in it, which is my favorite all-natural ingredient to feel energized for long. While I find matcha quite bitter on its own, it tastes delicious blended with green tea & mint. I also like to take a few minutes to drink my tea and plan the rest of my day. I’ll usually check my iCal for appointments and I make sure that my to-do list for the day is complete. This is my best tip to help you to think positive all day long!

To me, relaxing is an important part of my routine as well! I think that after a long day, it is important to take a few minutes for yourself to reflect on your day, plan ahead for the next one or to read a few pages of a new book. To help me unwind, I always drink a few cups of relaxing tea with mint (which is great for digestion) & chamomille (my favorite soothing ingredient). I think it is important to allow yourself some downtime to be as energized as you can on the next day!
